Witt Visiting Goedele Peeters

Imagine a world where only silence reigns, where everything rests in stillness, where every sound is banished from, this is the world of Goedele Peeters. Goedele Peeters is one the foremost Belgian printmakers of her generation working in a range of printmedia, from intaglio and lithography to relief and artist books. Widely and internationally exhibited as an artist, she currently teaches at Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp-Berchem. Goedele was a visiting artist at Print@Stamps studios in 2009.

Printmaking Area Head, Richard Hricko announces:

Tyler School of Art welcomes Amze Emmons as a new Associate Professor of Printmaking beginning in the fall 2013 semester. Amze received a BFA from Ohio Wesleyan University and a MA and MFA from the University of Iowa. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally. In addition to his studio practice, he has written regularly about printmaking in an expanded field, including new media, relational, and socially engaged practices. Amze’s awards include a Fellowship in the Arts from the Independence Foundation; an Individual Creative Artist Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Arts Council; and a Fellowship at the MacDowell Colony. He is also a co-founder and a contributing co-editor of the popular art blog, Printeresting.org, an art journalism project that investigates the intersection of contemporary print, design, and technology within a visual culture context. Printeresting was recently awarded a 2011 Arts Writer Grant from the Warhol Foundation/Creative Capital’s Arts Writers Program. Amze has previously taught at the University of Vermont, University of Iowa, Muhlenberg College, and The College of New Jersey.

I will be exhibiting at the Affordable Art Fair coming up next week at Hampstead Heath with Artichoke, 20-23rd June, and at 83 Kinnerton street Knightsbridge from the 19th (opening night) until the 3rd July. Hope you can make it!
